Emma Garland, working under the name of Little Red Apple, makes a range of easy to wear wooden jewellery. This includes minimal, elegant, contemporary wooden necklaces and fun, colourful brooches. Her work is influenced by her love of clean, crisp design, simple shapes and silhouettes. Her inspiration often comes from the natural world but anything can lead to a new design, from a colour combination seen on vintage fabric, to browsing at a flea market or a walk in the woods. The components for her wooden jewellery are lasercut in Bristol. Emma also designs a wide range of greetings cards, which are printed from her original hand cut collages and pattern designs. She started out on her creative journey by making cards for friends and family and decided to take things further when her children were very young and she struggled to find children’s birthday cards locally that she really liked. She started creating her own and things have grown from there.
