Donna is a contemporary artist who likes to experiment with colour and texture. Her preferred medium is acrylic paint and acrylic inks, but she also uses watercolour, pastels and wax on a base of canvas, paper, board and silk.
“Colour expresses and stretches the imagination.
“Texture defines shape and contour, and adds another dimension “.
As well as being a prolific painter, Donna is also a ceramic artist and her use of bold colour can be seen particularly in her popular “Mardi Gras” range of pottery.
She has been part of the ‘We Make Bristol’ team since Dec 2016, just after the shop opened in Westbury on Trym, and can be seen in the shop most weeks, usually on Monday afternoons, where she enjoys meeting customers and discussing the artwork on display.
