I carried the copper back from India, And I then enamelled it in Bristol, It is a very different shape from what I had seen here . Difficult to enamel on both sides, but I managed it . As I put it in and out of the kiln at high temperature many times, the enamel (powdered glass reacts with the copper ) The inside has a number of shades of brown picking up the tones from the metal . Unique.
6.3cm across x 5.8cm high approx

All my Enamel work is individually created and there will be variation in the colours within any piece . Many people like that effect . Often my pieces have been in and out of the kiln at high temperatures, between 6-10 times, building up the layers of colour. Each one is non repeatable!
It is difficult to photograph them. I am always happy to try to send additional images

Jane Wills Enamels

Jane has been working with enamels for over 10 years, largely self taught, and inspired by wonderful enamelling work in the UK and abroad. She loves to experiment with colour, texture and new techniques. Enamelling on copper at high temperatures allows her to produce work, which is organic, unique and can lead to various unexpected results. Jane works from a small studio at her home in Bristol and has exhibited on many Arts Trails and Events in the Bristol and Bath area and a number of shops . Her ‘specialities’ are enamelled copper autumn leaves, small bowls, trinket dishes and jewellery. Jane also works with fine silver. She is always looking to create new designs.
