Karen has a passion for everything hand-made, having been inspired by her Mum from a young age.

Karen moved to Sydney, Australia in 1996 after marrying a New Zealander and continued her IT career until giving this up to start a family. She then found the time to re-kindle her love of sewing and took up patchwork and quilting.

On moving back to the UK in 2005, Karen sought out a pottery evening class with the intention of learning the skills to make ceramic embellishments for her quilted art pieces. This then evolved into a new passion for hand-built ceramics and she has now developed a gorgeous range of botanical themed homewares.

Alongside this, Karen has also continued to develop her textile art skills, moving on from patchwork and quilting to amazing appliqué and free-motion machine embroidered art works, inspired by nature.

Her work is mainly inspired by nature and landscapes.
