Bristol glass artist, Rachael Durkan, the inspiration behind The Glass Cabin, creates unique glass art and homewares.

Inspired by geometric shapes and patterns found in nature, subtle colour combinations are used to create charming pieces, revealing themselves as the light changes.

Rachael’s more recent work is produced using powder print technique. This is very similar to screen printing, moving glass powders through a fine mesh screen to build up layers of patterns and colours.

Fascinated by the complexity of this material and the processes involved in kiln-formed glass is where Rachael’s passion lies.
